Enjoy 544 kilometers of slopes in the Zillertal with just one pass

The Zillertal is widely regarded as a top destination among winter sports enthusiasts. 180 lifts take you to the starting point of 544 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned skier, you’re sure to find your favorite runs here. Modern snowmaking systems and Austria’s only year-round ski area, the Hintertux Glacier, guarantee 100% snow reliability.

Just a few steps away from skiing fun – Spieljoch in Fügen

Our main ski area, the Spieljoch, is just a 3-minute walk from the hotel (150 meters). This means winter fun starts right on our doorstep. The state-of-the-art Spieljochbahn takes you comfortably to the slopes. This family-friendly ski paradise offers 21 kilometers of slopes, a total of 10 chairlifts and lifts, as well as two magic carpets and a practice lift for first-time skiers. Directly below the valley station is a practice area for our youngest guests. Fantastic deep-snow slopes on the Geolsalm and the 7-kilometer-long run down to Fügen will thrill even expert skiers. With its own race course complete with race services, as well as a fun slope and snow park, the Spieljoch region has something for everyone.

One Pass – 4 Ski Areas: With the Zillertal Superskipass, you can enjoy four large ski areas with just one pass.
The Superskipass is available starting with a 2-day ski pass. Of course, you can purchase your ski pass right here at our hotel.
Ski buses will take you comfortably to the lifts and back to the hotel. You can find more information about the terms of service here.

Toboggan Runs in the Zillertal

Tobogganing is a fun activity that’s simply a must-do on any vacation in Tyrol. The Zillertal offers 14 perfectly groomed toboggan runs with a total length of about 45 kilometers. A full 30 kilometers of these are illuminated in the evenings, making night tobogganing possible. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss. There are two ways to get to the top: you can either walk or take a leisurely ride up on the mountain railway. The Zillertal also offers plenty of Hüttengaudi. Taking a break at a rustic alpine hut is a must when tobogganing.

Snowshoeing, ski touring, ice skating

For those who want to enjoy the snowy splendor beyond just skiing, there are wonderful alternatives. With its perfect location, the Wohlfühlhotel Schiestl is the ideal starting point for a winter hike. Well-cleared walking trails lead through the entire valley. If you want to venture higher, you can experience the fascination of the snowy landscape on a snowshoe hike. Hardly any other winter sport is better suited for enjoying the tranquility of nature and the magnificent landscape of the Zillertal. You’ll get especially close to nature while ski touring. You’ll find great routes for this all around our Wohlfühlhotel in Fügen.

Gliding elegantly across the ice is simply fun. You can go ice skating in Fügen next to the Erlebnistherme Zillertal, and there are also other ice rinks available in the region. Curling is also available here. In addition, you can look forward to entertaining ice disco nights at the ice rink in Fügen. Ice skates can be rented right on site in Fügen.

Cross-Country Skiing

Cross-country skiing is one of the healthiest sports there is. It’s particularly gentle on the joints and, at the same time, the perfect full-body workout, as it engages nearly all muscle groups. The Zillertal offers ideal conditions for cross-country skiing. Whether you prefer skating or classic style, you have 125 kilometers of trails to choose from. The Zillertal features blue (easy), red (intermediate), and black (difficult) trails, ensuring that both beginners and advanced cross-country skiers will find something to suit their needs. As you glide across the snow, enjoy the scenic beauty all around you, marvel at the sparkle of the snow, and take a deep breath of fresh mountain air.

The Hochfügen-Gamsstein high-altitude cross-country trail is especially heavenly. The nine-kilometer route winds through breathtaking scenery. You’ll also find a cross-country skier’s paradise in Pertisau, which is about a 20-minute drive from our wellness hotel. We’d be happy to provide you with information about the various trails at the front desk.

With us, you can be sure you won’t waste any time and will have plenty of time to enjoy the fantastic ski slopes.
