By bike through the ZILLERTAL Valley

From relaxed panoramic cycling to challenging tours

With 55 three-thousand-metre peaks and 1300 km of extensive biking and cycling routes, the Ziller Valley truly is a paradise for cyclists. Wonderful biking routes covering all levels of difficulty guarantee the finest mountain biking experiences. There is always something for everyone with regenerative fitness tours combined with convenient bike transport by the mountain railways or the Zillertalbahn railway. As a special highlight, the majority of routes and tour data are available via GPS. Seven cable cars with bike transport and countless service points, rental and guiding make cycling an enjoyable experience. You are welcome to park your bike in the ski area in the basement of the Hotel Schiestl free of charge.

The broad, sunny valley floor awaits families as a tranquil cycle route. You can enjoy the unmistakable mountain panorama of the Zillertal Valley in a leisurely manner here. The biking opportunities are rounded off by a selection of mountain huts, which invite you to linger and taste the healthy and delicious natural products of the Zillertal Valley.

Zillertal Mountain Challenge, stage finish of the Germany Tour, Transalp Challenge…

The Zillertal Valley's ideal starting point means that renowned cycling and biking events are a regular occurrence here. No wonder then that the well-known Alpine roads are often used as test and training tracks, especially by racing cyclists. Georg Totschnig, stage winner of the Tour de France, can also be seen here on a regular basis. Well this makes sense, he is after all a native of the Zillertal Valley. Following a successful active career, he still uses the wide range of bike routes on offer in the Zillertal Valley.
